Leeds/Bradford International Airport
This is the nearest airport to York. If you arrive at Leeds airport you can take the airport bus to York (forty-five minutes) and a taxi from York railway station to the Groves Hotel (ten minutes) or we can arrange a taxi to bring you directly from the airport to the Groves Hotel. Transfer time is forty to fifty minutes.
You can also use Manchester Airport
From Manchester airport you can take a train directly from the airport railway station (in the airport) to York railway station. Journey time is one hour and fifty minutes. A taxi from York station to the Groves hotel will take you ten minutes.
You can also use Newcastle International Airport
There is a Metro link from the airport to Newcastle railway station which takes thirty minutes. From Newcastle Station there are regular trains to York. The journey time is one hour. From York station you take a taxi to the Groves Hotel. (ten minutes).
London airports There is a Metro link from the airport to Newcastle railway station which takes thirty minutes. From Newcastle Station there are regular trains to York. The journey time is one hour. From York station you take a taxi to the Groves Hotel. (ten minutes).
If you are flying into one of the London airports, e.g. Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted, you will need to make your way to London King's Cross railway station. From there you can take a train to York. Journey time is two hours.
